Our gastroenterology department is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist to become part of a successful and well-established GI program situated on the grounds of our hospital in Springfield, Missouri. This facility is an 880-bed Level I trauma center, recognized as the leading referral center in the region.
This role is part of a hospital-employed team that is physician-led, emphasizing fairness, efficiency, and long-term stability. Physicians have a significant voice in operational matters and equity within the practice.
About Our Hospital:
880-bed acute care facility and Level I trauma center
Utilization of EPIC EMR system across the organization
Established referral network from a large multispecialty group
On-site clinic and endoscopy center for streamlined operations
This Position Provides:
A guaranteed salary of $700,000 plus a $50,000 bonus
A four-day work week with predictable scheduling
Call schedule of 1:8, supported by a robust cross-coverage system and advanced practice provider assistance
Immediate access to a full clinic and endoscopy volume due to high demand
A strong and consistent referral base from a large regional network
No cap on earnings, with potential to reach upper-quartile to top-decile income
An efficient endoscopy unit with reliable access and protected block time
Opportunities for advanced procedures including RFA, capsule endoscopy, BRAVO, manometry, ERCP, EUS, and TIF
Equitable sharing of call and endoscopy responsibilities, with no seniority hierarchy
Relocation support and professional liability insurance
Acceptance of J1 and H-1B visas
