Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | On-site

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and licensed Psychologist, Neuropsychologist, or Counselor to join a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team providing behavioral health services to adults recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). This role involves psychological assessments, individual and family counseling, behavioral interventions, crisis management, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to support each patient's rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population

  • Adults recovering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Adults recovering from Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)

Caseload

  • Approximately 25-30 patients, though the active caseload is often lower.

  • Majority of patients are residential, living within the rehabilitation program.

  • Approximately 2 patients participate in the day treatment program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological and behavioral assessments.

  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment and behavioral support plans.

  • Perform or coordinate neuropsychological evaluations as appropriate.

  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral management.

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and behavioral interventions.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and monitor patient progress.

  • Participate in discharge planning and caregiver education.

  • Ensure compliance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work from an accredited institution.

  • Active state license (Psychologist, LPC, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent).

  • Experience providing counseling and behavioral health services.

  • Knowledge of neuropsychology, cognitive rehabilitation, and behavioral therapy techniques is preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
