Security Service TechnicianOverview

Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Security Service Technician to join a growing security systems integration team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working directly with customers to maintain and support critical security systems.

The successful candidate will travel to client sites to perform service, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical support for electronic security systems. While technical experience is important, we place a strong emphasis on personality, work ethic, and cultural fit. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, resourceful, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
  • Respond to scheduled maintenance, service, and emergency support calls.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic security systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
  • Install system upgrades, replacements, and small-scale projects as needed.
  • Identify root causes of equipment and software issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Complete detailed service documentation and reports in a timely manner.
  • Support system integrations, database management, and network-connected security devices when required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members and participate in cross-training opportunities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining strong client relationships.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in electronic security systems, low-voltage systems, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel locally to customer sites on a regular basis. Limited overnight travel may occasionally be required.
Technical Experience

Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least one of the following areas:

Intrusion Detection & Alarm Systems
  • Bosch
  • DMP
Video Management Systems
  • Milestone
  • Avigilon
  • Genetec
  • March Networks
Access Control Systems
  • Software House
  • Lenel
  • Gallagher
  • Genetec

Experience with access control and intrusion detection systems is highly valued. Video surveillance platforms can be trained for candidates with strong security systems fundamentals.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vista, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $38.00/hr.
