\n* Leadership role within a growing Graduate Medical Education (GME) program\n

\n* High-volume GI program with more than 7,900 procedures annually and 20,000 referrals each year\n

\nMajor Responsibilities\n
\n
\n* Champion the mission, vision, and goals of the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program and sponsoring institution.\n
\n* Ensure compliance with ACGME Institutional, Common, and Gastroenterology Program Requirements and maintain full accreditation status.\n
\n* Develop and oversee a comprehensive fellowship curriculum that supports excellence in clinical care, procedural competency, scholarship, quality improvement, and board preparation.\n
\n* Recruit, mentor, evaluate, and retain high-performing fellows committed to professionalism, academic achievement, and patient-centered care.\n
\n* Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for faculty involved in fellow education.\n
\n* Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment where fellows can provide feedback and raise concerns confidentially and without retaliation.\n
\n* Oversee fellowship program operations, resources, and budget while ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards.\n
\n* Promote scholarly activity, research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and evidence-based practice among fellows and faculty.\n
\n* Build and maintain collaborative relationships with academic institutions, teaching faculty, and community partners to enhance educational opportunities.\n
\n* Serve as a leader and advocate for graduate medical education within Adventist Health Tulare and the surrounding community.\n

\nQualifications\n
\n
\nRequired\n
\n
\n* Board Certified in Gastroenterology\n
\n* Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship Program\n
\n* Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license\n
\n* Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology\n
\n* Demonstrated clinical excellence and ongoing clinical activity\n
\n

\n* Annual salary range: $668,720 - $730,720\n

\n* Participation in a shared gastroenterology call rotation (Tulare, Hanford, Selma, Reedley)\n
\n* Call schedule and frequency will be discussed during the interview process\n
\n* Collaborative physician team providing comprehensive GI coverage across the community\n
