\n Requirements

\n

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented
\n and analytical Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations
\n and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The ideal
\n candidate will be responsible for payroll processing, reconciliations,
\n budgeting, tax management, financial reporting, and compliance-related
\n activities.

\n

This role requires strong
\n organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple
\n accounting functions in a fast-paced environment.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Maintain the integrity of financial records by
  \n accurately recording, verifying, reconciling, and processing transactions.
\n
• Process monthly payroll and manage banking
  \n activities, including reconciliations and discrepancy resolution.
\n
• Manage sales tax processes, including tax code
  \n maintenance in Avalara, exemption certificates, filings, payments, and
  \n reconciliations.
\n
• Prepare monthly financial forecasts using actual
  \n results and provide variance analysis with supporting documentation.
\n
• Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process
  \n and related schedules.
\n
• Prepare and distribute daily sales reports and
  \n financial updates.
\n
• Oversee related-party invoicing and commission
  \n calculations.
\n
• Manage annual Secretary of State filings and ensure
  \n ongoing regulatory compliance.
\n
• Coordinate annual insurance renewal activities,
  \n including applications, liability certificates, budgeting,
  \n reconciliations, and journal entries.
\n
• Track and maintain approved project budgets,
  \n ensuring updates and adjustments are properly documented.
\n
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and
  \n organizational information.
\n
• Support additional accounting and finance
  \n responsibilities as assigned.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or
  \n related field.
\n
• Proven experience in accounting, financial
  \n reporting, or corporate finance functions.
\n
• Strong understanding of reconciliations, budgeting,
  \n payroll processing, and financial analysis.
\n
• Experience with sales tax processes and accounting
  \n systems/software.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting
  \n applications.
\n
• Strong analytical, organizational, and
  \n problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to
  \n maintain confidentiality.
\n

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Avalara or similar tax
  \n management platforms.
\n
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance
  \n analysis.
\n
• Experience handling compliance filings and
  \n insurance coordination processes.
