Materials Handler 1

Job Overview: Pay Range: $13hr - $18hr Requirement/Must Have: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous warehouse, distribution, logistics, or material handling experience preferred. Experience using RF scanners or handheld inventory management devices. Experience working within SAP or similar ERP systems. Ability to read and interpret work orders, pick lists, bills of material, and inventory documents. Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Pick mechanical components, parts, and materials from warehouse racking locations to fulfill production and manufacturing orders. Accurately kit materials according to production schedules, work orders, bills of material (BOMs), and customer requirements. Utilize RF scanning devices to perform material movements, inventory transactions, and order confirmations. Process inventory transactions and maintain accurate records within SAP. Stage and deliver kits and materials to designated production areas in a timely manner. Verify part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, and material specifications to ensure order accuracy. Monitor inventory levels and report low stock, discrepancies, shortages, or potential material constraints to supervisors and planners. Assist in cycle counting and inventory control activities to maintain inventory accuracy. Investigate and answer questions regarding material availability, order status, kit completion, and inventory locations. Collaborate with Production, Planning, Purchasing, and Warehouse teams to resolve material issues. Maintain organized warehouse storage locations and ensure proper stock rotation practices. Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and warehouse procedures. Support receiving, put-away, replenishment, and other warehouse functions as assigned. Skills: RF Scanning. SAP. Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have): Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more. Ability to operate material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts. Ability to work safely in a warehouse and distribution environment.
