Join an established group of 15 Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Clinicians

Certified Cancer Treatment Center based in Cooperstown with multiple regional centers for diagnostic and treatment options
\n - \n
180 Bed Primary Hospital with Level III Trauma Center
\n - \n
Instant Referral Base provided by over 500 Network Clinicians
\n - \n
Full Support Staff including PA's with Surgical Residents and Medical Student Interaction
\n - \n
Travel required for regional patient care
\n - \n
State of the Art OR's including DaVinci Surgical System
\n - \n
No General Surgery/Trauma call requirement
\n - \n
General Surgeons share call coverage for Breast Surgery patients
\n - \n
Salary Range: $385,254-$442,409 plus performance-based compensation. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards

Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.

Job Qualifications

MD, DO or MBBS
\n - \n
BC/BE in General Surgery - Breast Fellowship Required
\n - \n
Completion of an accredited USA General Surgery residency, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
\n - \n
New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
\n - \n
BLS certification required
\n - \n
DEA Required
\n - \n
Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Bassett provides two retirement plans for tax-advantaged contributions for retirement: 403(b) and 457(b). Practitioners are eligible to participate in both plans upon hire. Practitioners can take advantage of pre-tax and ROTH contributions into the 403(b) plan, including catch-up and super catch-up contributions. Bassett contributes a non-elective contribution from 4% up to 11% each year the practitioner meets certain criteria. Both plans are managed through Fidelity Net Benefits.
