SQL DBA (SQL Server/Azure SQL)

Trigyn's direct government client has a contract opportunity for a SQL DBA in Baltimore, MD (HYBRID Position) Description: The client is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator to be part of a small development team focusing on the restructuring and modernization of the revenue collections systems and other related database environments. The candidate must have a strong background in database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards. Database Administrator responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: • Establishes and maintains database performance standards; monitors system usage; analyzes database performance and performs system optimization tasks to maintain data availability and ensure system responsiveness to user queries. • Devises and maintains data security and integrity standards; implements security access levels in accordance with management specifications. • Diagnoses and resolves database system performance problems. • Archive data; maintains archival and active records; performs data back-up and recovery. • Evaluates system and user needs and makes recommendations for increased system capacity. • Plan and implement database conversion projects and the migration and upgrade of databases to new versions and servers. • Monitors network traffic and communications usage patterns; configures or modifies network configuration to meet system demands and capacity planning needs.
