\nAbout the Role
\nDue to the continued growth and expansion of services within our Section of Cardiovascular Medicine, we are seeking a dedicated General Consultative Cardiologist to join our faculty team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, comprehensive cardiovascular care across both inpatient and ambulatory clinical settings at Yale New Haven Hospital and affiliated Yale New Haven Health System facilities.
\nGeneral cardiology serves as the core foundation of this practice (60%+ clinical time), with flexible opportunities to integrate subspecialty interests and tailor your academic career trajectory based on your professional goals and career stage.
\nKey Responsibilities

Clinical Care: Provide top-tier inpatient and outpatient (ambulatory) consultative cardiovascular care at Yale New Haven Hospital and throughout the health system.

Patient Management: Diagnose, manage, and treat patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Academic Engagement: Contribute to the Section's academic mission through teaching, clinical or translational research, quality improvement initiatives, and program development.
\n - \n
Mentorship: Teach and mentor medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: MD or DO required.
\n - \n
Training: Successful completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship.
\n - \n
Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine.
\n - \n
Academic Appointment: Must meet criteria for faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Medicine on either the Academic Clinician (AC) track or Clinician Educator Scholar (CES) track.

Subspecialty Interests: Candidates with advanced training, experience, or specialized interest in Cardiac Imaging, Heart Failure, or Preventive Cardiology are strongly encouraged to apply.
