Your responsibilities will include handling materials, assisting skilled workers, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the work environment. Your role is essential in maintaining the smooth operations and high standards of the shipyard.\n

\n This position requires previous Cable Pulling experience and some work with the shipyard Electrical Dept.

\n Major Duties Responsibilities\n
\n
    \n
  • Assist skilled workers, such as welders, carpenters, and machinists, by performing supportive tasks as directed.
    • \n
  • Handle and transport materials and equipment safely to various locations within the shipyard, ensuring the right materials are available when needed.
    • \n
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work areas, including sweeping, disposing of debris, and organizing tools and materials.
    • \n
  • Operate basic hand and power tools with proper safety precautions.
    • \n
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to accomplish daily tasks efficiently and safely.
    • \n
  • Comply with all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • \n
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, checking deliveries for accuracy, and reporting discrepancies.
