Job Description: 1. The Logistics Management Specialist 1 will build upon foundational support and will assume greater independence in coordinating logistics activities. They will independently manage transportation logistics for equipment, supplies, and materials, ensuring timely and efficient deployment. This mid-level position requires a higher level of expertise and experience in logistics management to ensure the efficient and effective distribution of equipment, supplies, and materials to support agency operations. 2. The contractor personnel will assist in demand forecasting to support inventory management and replenishment planning, helping to optimize stock levels. 3. The contractor personnel will collaborate with vendors and contractors to facilitate the timely delivery of goods and services, assisting in the solicitation of quotes and conducting market research to support procurement activities. The contractor personnel will prepare procurement requests, process travel orders, vouchers, and related documentation with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with policies. 5. During law enforcement operations, the contractor personnel will support the deployment of supplies and maintain accurate records of equipment receipt, issue, and disposition. 6. Contributing to process improvement efforts, the contractor will assist in logistics audits, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and help track and reconcile purchase orders and procurement paperwork to support operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Coordinate the transportation of equipment, supplies, and materials to various agency locations. 2. Drive large class C vehicles in support of the USCP Mission 3. Lead inventory management activities and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained 4. Develop and implement logistics policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. 5. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services. 6. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with logistics regulations and guidelines 7. Lead procurement activities, including negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships 8. Analyze data and trends to forecast demand and plan for future logistical needs 9. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on logistics performance and make recommendations for improvement.
