Senior Staff Accountant

Direct Hire | Southeast Houston (100% Onsite) $90,000 - $110,000 Base + Quarterly Bonus

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a manufacturing company to identify a Senior Staff Accountant for its Southeast Houston operation. This role offers exposure to accounting, FP&A, cost accounting, tax, audit support, and executive reporting within a large manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and ensure transactions are recorded in the correct accounting period.
• Support financial statement preparation, cash flow reporting, and management reporting.
• Analyze costs, cost centers, inventory, and manufacturing-related transactions.
• Assist with internal and external audits, tax reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Utilize SAP and Excel to analyze and transform financial data for reporting and decision-making.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Purchasing, and Leadership teams on reporting and financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Manufacturing, industrial or metals industry experience preferred.
• SAP experience strongly preferred (ECC experience a plus).
• Strong Excel skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $90,000 - $110,000
• Quarterly performance-based bonus opportunity (target up to 20%)
