Marine Pipefitter

Job Description:

\n
• Read and interpret ship piping drawings
\n
• Experienced fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping
\n
• Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
\n
• Knowledge in installing pipe hangers
\n
• Ability to read a ruler using inches and tenths
\n
• Prep and fit-up backing rings
\n
• Clean cut/break pipe with a grinder
\n
• Ability to hand prep V bevels
\n
• Experience in fabrication of various details and assemblies from drawings
\n
• Bend pipe from template and in the use of a hand bender
\n
• Fit welded sockets
\n
• Must be able to fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
\n
• Must be able to climb up and down vertical ladders, bend and squat, kneel, work in confined spaces & around moving equipment and any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
\n
