About the Role
We're looking for a Mechanical Assembler to join a fast-paced production team building complex mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. You'll work from assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to build drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks — tackling assignments that require sound judgment, initiative, and problem-solving on the floor.
What You'll Do
- Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures per engineering drawings
- Perform hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units
- Determine and follow proper methods and sequence of operations for assigned tasks
- Conduct routine go/no-go testing of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
- Set up test devices using hand tools or automated test methods
- Document test results and maintain logs/records of malfunctions
- Perform repair work as needed
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6+ months of hands-on assembly experience
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Experience working from established drawings/prints
- Soldering, wire-wrapping, and cable harnessing experience
- Comfortable with hand tools and testing equipment
- Familiarity with MS Teams and IPC-610 standards
- SMT machine experience, polarity awareness, and ESD handling knowledge a plus
