Our organization, based in Columbus, Ohio, is on the lookout for a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to become a vital part of our Medical Oncology team.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for overseeing the care of Hematology and Oncology patients, which includes conducting inpatient consultations, attending to patients in the clinic, and rounding on individuals receiving chemotherapy at the outpatient infusion center.

The primary working hours will be during the day, from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with occasional requirements to cover additional shifts.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master's degree in Science, Nursing, or a related specialty is required. Candidates must be graduates of an Advanced Practitioner program.

  • Licensure / Certification: A valid license to practice as a registered nurse in Ohio is mandatory.

  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the relevant specialty is required, with a preference for those certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

  • BLS: Basic Life Support certification is required.

  • Additional Certifications: ACLS, NRP, EFM, and PALS may be required for certain departments.

  • A DEA license for controlled substances is necessary or the ability to obtain one as needed.

  • All qualifications are subject to grandfathering by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

  • Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of recent and relevant experience as an APP in oncology is essential.

  • Strong communication skills are a must.
