As a Senior Project Manager with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials, the primary objective is to provide engineering services and project management skills to implement capital projects to improve cement plant operations and profitability.

\nResponsibilities:
\nDeveloped studies may prompt investments or modifications with support from contractors or personnel.
\nPerforms all task in safe and professional manner in conformance with plant rules, quality standards and company policies.
\nGood interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships with plant personnel and contractors, as the role requires autonomy and initiative due to the Plant Manager's focus on short-term issues.
\nPrepare capital project scope, cost estimates, justifications, and cost control tracking to ensure budgetary compliance and successful start-up and operation of projects.
\nCoordinates and leads field representatives, contractors, and suppliers to ensure correctness, quality, and timely completion of projects.
\nEnsure successful project execution through studies and modifications.
\nFollow internal controls providing reasonable assurance of effective and efficient operations, including actions to prevent and detect fraud and protect Company resources.
\nPromote new technologies and concepts for competitiveness.
\nProvide information and training on new installations.
\nProvides leadership to department employees by directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating, as the situation requires.
\nMaintain required documentation for vendor access.
\nProvides training to plant personnel on new equipment usage.
\nEnsure compliance with internal control procedures - communicating problems in operations, unwarranted deviations from established standards, and violations of policy or law.
\nParticipates with plant production and maintenance teams to provide engineering resources and knowledge transfer, including RCA and other problem-solving tools

About You
\nWe Require:
\nBachelor of Engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical or civil).
\nPrevious mechanical engineering experience in heavy industrial 24/7 plant operations.
\nStrong conceptual and operational planning skills, project management skills, budgeting, and cost control methods.
\nReads, analyzes, and interpret technical information, structural and engineering drawings.
\nDemonstrated leadership skills through personal standards of conduct work, work ethics, project initiation and ability to delegate.
\nDemonstrated commissioning leadership skills.
\nAbove average computer skills.
\nPrevious experience using Microsoft Office Suites, Project, and CAD.
\nLeadership capabilities with supervisory/managerial career aspirations.
\nAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
\nMust be able to work as a part of a team to ensure continuous improvement in their functional area as well as the overall plant operations.
\nMust be able to meet unscheduled responsibilities in a 24/7 operation.
\nMust display good employability skills (attendance, job performance, attitude, willingness to work, etc.)
