The Administrative Assistant (assigned to the Housing Department) provides administrative support to:

\n
    \n
  • Performs data entry
  • \n
  • Sorts mail/general correspondence
  • \n
  • Maintains mailing lists
  • \n
  • Prepares vouchers, purchase orders
  • \n
  • Fields incoming calls
  • \n
  • Provides general service information and makes referrals
  • \n
  • Provides clerical support to the Department
  • \n
  • Assists the Coordinator with collecting and tabulating data for reports, as needed
  • \n
  • Assists with intake and enters data into database
  • \n
  • Tracks inventory and orders supplies, as needed
  • \n
  • Tracks and logs donations and/or payment for services
  • \n
  • Prepares count sheet (deposits), as needed
  • \n
\n

Pay: $16.25//hour
\n Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 35 hours per week.
\n Location: Owego, NY (on-site required)
\n

Minimum Education and Experience:

\n

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent with two years of experience in a business office setting.
  • \n
\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

\n
    \n
  • General knowledge of offices procedures and equipment
  • \n
  • Moderate level experience with MS Office products
  • \n
  • Data entry skills
  • \n
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • \n
  • Ability to handle routine administrative details independently, including the composition of letters and public notices
  • \n
  • Must be accurate, conscientious, and have a capacity for detailed work
  • \n
\n

  • On-site attendance is a requirement of the position.

  • Working hours at programs operated by the agency will generally correspond to the needs of the participants and the purpose of the program, with flexibility for work/life balance as the program allows
