Job Description
About Our Residency

Our organization proudly presents the Family Medicine Residency, a fully accredited ACGME program that includes Osteopathic Recognition and accommodates 21 resident positions. This program uniquely combines community-oriented and academic training, offering residents a diverse range of clinical experiences in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Training occurs at our healthcare facilities, where residents gain valuable exposure to various fields, including adult medicine, critical care, emergency medicine, obstetrics, pediatrics, surgery, behavioral health, and multiple specialty services. The residency features an innovative two-week mini-block curriculum designed to enhance focused learning, ensure continuity of patient care, and promote resident wellness, effectively preparing graduates for a comprehensive practice in Family Medicine.

The residency continuity clinic is situated at a modern 96,000-square-foot outpatient facility, which includes outpatient surgery, emergency services, a comprehensive cancer center, laboratory and radiology services, vascular testing, specialty clinics, and a 24-bed short-stay center. This campus is also set to become the future location of our hospital, fostering an integrated healthcare environment that enriches both resident education and patient care.

Residents thrive in a nurturing, team-oriented, and family-friendly atmosphere, benefiting from resources available in both a community hospital and the broader academic network. Additional educational opportunities encompass training in addiction medicine, lifestyle medicine, sports medicine, point-of-care ultrasound, women’s health, and breastfeeding medicine. Weekly didactic sessions, practical workshops, quality improvement projects, and interdisciplinary learning experiences further enhance the educational journey of our residents.

Situated in Livingston County, one of Michigan's rapidly expanding communities, our program offers an outstanding quality of life with convenient access to Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Detroit. Residents can enjoy a suburban-rural lifestyle with plentiful outdoor activities, including over 20,000 acres of parks, more than 50 lakes, biking and walking trails, skiing, and a variety of cultural, recreational, and sporting events.
