Job Description
Our organization is excited to present a fantastic full-time position for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sleep Medicine Physician in Mason City, Iowa, on behalf of the Mason City Clinic.
The Sleep Medicine Physician will operate within a dedicated department, enjoying significant autonomy in their practice. This department collaborates closely with the ENT division, particularly with patients who have undergone INSPIRE therapy. The practice is already well-established and thriving, with the current physician nearing retirement and willing to mentor the new hire. Mason City is home to two sleep labs: Midwest Sleep Services and MercyOne Sleep Services.

Mason City is a welcoming community with a population of around 30,000. Our service area spans approximately 15 counties, serving a patient base of about 260,000. The clinic operates as a multi-specialty group without primary care, ensuring that all our physicians are specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient evaluations, reviewing health histories and relevant tests to establish diagnoses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluation results, providing education to patients.
- Manage sleep disorders for both new and returning patients.
- Interpret home and laboratory studies for patients.
- Identify abnormal patient responses to treatments, surgeries, or medications, and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Document all aspects of patient care and complete necessary paperwork for service payment.
- Stay updated on trends and advancements in the field through reading relevant literature and attending seminars and conferences.
