Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION
\n Samet is looking for a versatile, detail-driven graphic designer who thrives on variety. This role supports Samet’s brand across a wide range of print and digital touchpoints — from jobsite signage and career fair materials to internal communications and company merchandise. The ideal candidate is a strong visual designer with sharp typographic instincts, a self-starter who can manage multiple concurrent projects with confidence, and someone who takes genuine pride in getting the details right. The pace is steady and the work is varied; no two weeks look the same. Must have a minimum of five years of design experience and a strong portfolio (not student work).
RESPONSIBILITIES
\n Brand Stewardship & Jobsite Branding
- \n
- Understand, apply, and help evolve Samet’s brand standards across all
\n touchpoints. \n - Design and maintain jobsite branding materials including windscreens, construction signage, PPE graphics, and barricade wraps — ensuring consistent brand presence across active projects. \n
Print & Digital Design
\n- \n
- Create diverse print and digital projects: logos, identity collateral, posters,
\n brochures, flyers, advertisements, presentation materials, and project proposals. \n - Design internal communications graphics for SametNet (company intranet), Enplug digital screens, and departmental collateral. \n
- Build and refine PowerPoint presentations and templates to support teams
\n across the organization. \n
Career Fairs, Trade Shows & Events
\n- \n
- Manage the design and production of all career fair and trade show materials, including print collateral, digital presentations, booth graphics, and promotional items. \n
- Coordinate with vendors on timelines, specs, and proofing to ensure materials are accurate and delivered on schedule \n
Company Merchandise & Brand Stores
\n- \n
- Design, source, and maintain Samet’s branded merchandise and online company stores. \n
- Manage swag inventory, vendor relationships, and new product development for employee and client-facing merchandise programs. \n
Collaboration & Production
\n- \n
- Work closely with the Sr. Graphic Designer and Creative Director, integrating art direction and feedback into designs. \n
- Foster and sustain relationships with print vendors and other marketing
\n resources. \n - Maintain organized project files with consistent naming conventions and proper asset management. \n
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
\n- \n
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft Office 365 (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Canva, and WordPress. \n
- Strong foundation in layout, typography, composition, and color theory — with a keen eye for detail and brand consistency. \n
- Independent worker with initiative and design confidence who understands and applies the rules of design. \n
- Highly organized with excellent multitasking and time-management capabilities; comfortable managing many concurrent projects with different timelines and stakeholders. \n
- Open to incorporating AI tools, automation, and emerging digital platforms into design workflows. \n
- Knowledgeable in digital and offset printing techniques, vendor management, and production best practices. \n
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal. \n
- Detail-oriented, with proficiency in both Mac and PC environments. \n
- Positive, adaptable attitude with a collaborative mindset — comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented creative environment. \n
\n EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- \n
- Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, or Marketing (Bachelor’s or
\n Associate’s). \n - Minimum of 5 years of graphic design experience. \n
- MUST provide a portfolio with two examples (minimum; no student work) of each of the following:
\n – Logo design
\n – Print collateral demonstrating layout, composition, and typography skills (brochure, flyer, poster, etc.)
\n – Branding campaign (series of work with consistently branded elements)
\n – Layout/art created in Adobe Illustrator
\n – Enhanced or retouched images in Photoshop
\n – Any favorite project that showcases a high level of design skill \n
