Locum Obstetrics Gynecologist needed in Virginia

Locum OBGYN needed near Chester, VA.

• Dates of coverage: Ongoing Availability Needed, Site working on Specific Dates
\n
• Practice Setting: OBGYN Hospital/Call + potential for clinic coverage. Must be willing/able to cover both to be considered for this need. If taking clinic, night call would not be required after clinic days.
\n
• Call Ratio: 1 to 4
\n
• Total number of beds: 9 in L&D and 20 postpartum
\n
• Number of Physicians in practice: 4
\n
• Support Staff: OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, 3 to 4 nurses each shift
\n
• Average number of nursery admissions per day: 2 to 3 per day
\n
• Average call back per 24hr shift: less than 1, you will receive calls from answering service
\n
• Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
\n
• Specific required procedures: C-section, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, abnormal bleeding. MFM will handle most high-risk patients.
\n
• Also unreferred patients, the Laborist will take care of those patients in the hospital for deliveries and rounding.
\n
• Certification Requirements: BC, VA DEA & CSR, Active VA License, ABOG, BLS.
\n
• Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days, but temps may be approved for clean files.
\n
• $Competitive Hourly pay + housing + travel + A++ rated malpractice insurance with tail coverage included.
