Locum Tenens PA - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Position in California

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 3 PM, with occasional shifts extending to 6 PM
• Approximately 1,100 surgical cases handled annually

Job Responsibilities

• Hospital environment with 70% of duties in inpatient operating rooms as a first assist, and 30% in floor/ICU settings; no clinic responsibilities
• First assist in all surgical cases, including CABG, standard valve procedures, heart transplants, and VADs
• Involvement in thoracoscopic MAZE procedures, dissections, and some thoracic surgeries; no esophageal or robotic surgeries
• Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) is required; proficiency in endoscopic radial harvesting is a significant advantage
• Weekend surgical call rotation of 1:4 to 1:6; weeknight call approximately once per week
• Ongoing long-term demand for qualified candidates

Compensation

Hourly rates range from $105.00 to $138.00. These figures are estimates and can vary based on several factors, including the urgency of the position, your experience and qualifications, and other considerations. The rates are all-inclusive, combining base pay with potential earnings from overtime, call, and holiday work. For specific details, please consult your recruiter.
