\n Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and construction information.
    • \n
  • Lay out ductwork, fittings, hangers, penetrations, and related HVAC components.
    • \n
  • Measure, fabricate, cut, and install ductwork and fittings with minimal supervision.
    • \n
  • Mark locations, shoot pins, and install insulation on ductwork, deckheads, side shells, and beams.
    • \n
  • Measure, build, and install equipment pads.
    • \n
  • Fabricate and install pipe-covering fittings and lagging with minimal visible seams.
    • \n
  • Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes.
    • \n
  • Mount and install HVAC equipment, valves, and air hangers.
    • \n
  • Transport drawings and required materials to the jobsite and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
    • \n
  • Accurately read metric and standard tape measures.
    • \n
  • Follow proper safety procedures and maintain tools and work areas.
    • \n

\n Qualifications\n
\n
    \n
  • 3years of progressive marine experience or5years of comparable trade experience in the construction industry.
    • \n
  • Working knowledge of HVAC practices, methods, materials, and equipment.
    • \n
  • Knowledge of industrial insulation and sheet-metal fabrication.
    • \n
  • Basic mechanical skills and trade mathematics.
    • \n
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
    • \n
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • \n
