We are looking for a strategic, empathetic, and communicative physical therapist who will assess and treat individuals facing mobility challenges. Your role will focus on enhancing their quality of life by alleviating pain and improving physical function. The treatment plans you develop will require adaptability, teamwork, innovative thinking, and problem-solving skills to ensure our patients and residents receive the highest standard of care. This position may involve lifting and transferring patients, as well as being on your feet throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities- Design, organize, and implement physical therapy programs aimed at helping patients and residents recover, enhance mobility, alleviate pain, build strength, and prevent deformities.
- Document patient and resident information for evaluation purposes.
- Educate patients, residents, and their families about treatment plans, schedules, and home exercises.
- Ensure documentation adheres to departmental guidelines and meets all regulatory standards.
- Monitor and record the therapeutic progress of patients and residents, recommending necessary adjustments as needed.
- Adhere to guidelines, regulations, standards, and safety protocols throughout the therapy process.
- Must possess the appropriate educational background as required by state licensure.
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state(s) of practice is mandatory.
- A valid driver's license may be required, if applicable.
- Must obtain and maintain department-specific competencies and certifications. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers is required within the first 60 days of employment.
