\n\n\n SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES\n
\n\n A Rigger sets up and repairs rigging. They are responsible for aligning and anchoring the machinery, attaching loads, controlling the movement of heavy equipment, and ensuring the rigging is safe for use.\n

Essential job duties include:\n

- Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved. \n
- Setting, aligning, and leveling heavy equipment machinery. \n
- Selecting the appropriate rigging gear. \n
- Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts. \n
- Inspecting rigging before final use. \n
- Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment. \n
- Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand. \n
- Ensuring compliance with state and company safety procedures. \n
- Communicating with the rigging and construction team. \n
- Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections. \n
- Performs other duties as assigned. \n

\n\n KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\n
\n- \n
- 3+ years of shipyard experience \n
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily demonstrate the following: \n
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards. \n
- In-depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery. \n
- Excellent hearing and vision. \n
- Basic Rigging Hand Signals \n
- Ability to work at heights and in noisy environments. \n
- High-level mathematical skills. \n
