Patient Account Representative / Arbitration Specialist (Hybrid)

Location: Red Bank, NJ (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Pay: $25.00-$28.00/hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative / Arbitration Specialist to join a growing revenue cycle team. This role focuses on backend financial operations, including account reconciliation, payment processing, invoicing, and arbitration support. The ideal candidate has experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, or healthcare finance and is highly skilled in analyzing complex payment data while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in medical billing, revenue cycle, patient accounts, healthcare finance field.
  • Working knowledge of the No Surprises Act (NSA), including Quality Payment Amount (QPA) payments and surprise billing-related claims.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with experience balancing accounts and identifying discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage high-volume transactions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) or healthcare arbitration processes.
  • Familiarity with out-of-network claims and surgical billing.
  • Experience working in a high-volume healthcare payment environment.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle workflows and payment reconciliation processes.
