We are seeking a dedicated professional to be an integral part of our patients' treatment team. This role involves evaluating, assessing, and delivering services based on a treatment plan established by a physician. Additionally, you will oversee the services provided by Physical Therapy Assistants, with evaluations conducted by fellow professionals.

Job Overview

The responsibilities of the Registered Physical Therapist encompass, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct thorough assessments, which may include OASIS data elements, to determine the patient's physical functioning and need for therapy services.
  • Engage in discussions with the physician, gather input from patients and caregivers, and develop a care plan aimed at helping the patient achieve their maximum rehabilitation potential.
  • Implement prescribed treatments and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in executing the therapy program.
  • Create and instruct patients on a home exercise program (HEP), ensuring documentation of instructions in visit notes.
  • Monitor and report any significant changes in the patient's functioning to the physician and communicate these changes to other team members involved in the patient's care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all services in accordance with agency policies.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions and situations.
  • Provide the agency with necessary documentation, including a copy of your license/registration, to verify your qualifications.
  • Accept only those assignments for which you are qualified.
  • Adhere to all applicable state, federal, local, and agency regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all patient and agency information.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures, including HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.
  • Current licensure/registration as a Physical Therapist in the State of Texas.
  • At least one year of recent experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Experience working under the supervision of a Registered Physical Therapist for a minimum of one year.
  • This position is part of our Driver Safety Program, requiring a valid state driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum coverage limits of 100,000/300,000/100,000.

Compensation

The salary range provided reflects a good faith estimate of the starting base pay for full-time employment (40 hours per week) at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications, including skills, experience, education, and certifications.

Annual salary range: $93,000 - $128,000
