Construction Field Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Field Engineer to support large-scale data center construction projects nationwide. This role is embedded directly in the field, working side-by-side with superintendents, foremen, and lead electricians to keep work progressing safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with electrical construction experience or a construction-related degree who want real-world field exposure and the chance to learn from some of the best electrical construction professionals in the industry.

Compensation:

• $36-40/hour
\n
• $800 weekly per diem
\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Provide direct field support to superintendents, foremen, and lead electricians on active job sites
\n
• Assist with daily planning, crew coordination, and execution of electrical installation work
\n
• Track and report field progress, production, and manpower to support project schedules
\n
• Help ensure crews have the materials, tools, and information needed to perform work efficiently
\n
• Interpret and communicate construction drawings, layouts, and specifications to field teams
\n
• Assist with layout, QA/QC checks, and verification of installed work
\n
• Support coordination between trades to minimize conflicts and delays in the field
\n
• Document field conditions, issues, and updates through daily reports and logs
\n
• Reinforce and uphold all site safety standards and procedures
\n

Qualifications:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field OR hands-on electrical construction experience
\n
• Background in electrical construction, commercial/industrial projects, or similar environments
\n
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical plans
\n
• Strong work ethic and willingness to be fully engaged in field operations
\n
• Effective communication skills with field crews and leadership
\n
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours (50–60+ hours/week)
\n
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active jobsite environment
