Location: Addison, TX 75001 (Onsite)
Pay: $24.00-$30.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM Start | 40 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Provider Onboarding Specialist to manage the final stages of clinician onboarding by ensuring providers are fully enrolled with insurance carriers before their first day of patient care. This role partners closely with insurance payers, credentialing, revenue cycle, and clinical operations to ensure provider enrollment is completed accurately and on time.
The ideal candidate has experience managing provider enrollments, communicating with commercial and government payers, and tracking multiple onboarding workflows in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and manage provider enrollment applications for physicians (MDs), Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), and Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAs) with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers.
- Follow up with insurance carriers to obtain provider numbers, effective dates, and active participation status.
- Track and maintain enrollment progress within project management software, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates.
- Audit provider scheduling against enrollment timelines to ensure clinicians are fully enrolled before their first scheduled clinical shift.
- Partner with Credentialing, Revenue Cycle, and Clinical Operations teams throughout the onboarding process.
- Identify and resolve enrollment delays by troubleshooting payer issues and escalating concerns when necessary.
- Maintain secure provider documentation and ensure compliance with payer requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Support continuous process improvements to enhance onboarding efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of provider onboarding, provider enrollment, or credentialing experience.
- Hands-on experience with: PECOS, NPPES, CAQH, Availity
- Strong understanding of: NPI structures, Provider billing setups, Taxonomy codes
- Experience managing commercial insurance and Medicare/Medicaid provider enrollment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and experience working directly with insurance payers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using Monday.com or similar project management software.
- Familiarity with QGenda scheduling software.
- Previous experience supporting anesthesia, surgical, or hospital-based providers is preferred.
