Data Centre Engineer | Kent | Up to £45k | Data Centre | Infrastructure | NetworkingThe RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing technology services provider as a Data Centre Engineer , supporting the installation, maintenance and deployment of IT infrastructure across a range of client environments.This is a predominantly field-based role, where you'll work on infrastructure projects, install and maintain equipment within data centres and communications rooms, and support networking and server environments. You'll work closely with Project Managers, senior engineers and clients to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard.A full UK driving licence is essential due to regular travel to customer sites.Your day-to-day will consist of:Installing servers, switches, firewalls, storage and network equipment into server racksCompleting structured cabling, patching, labelling and cable managementSupporting infrastructure deployments, hardware refreshes and data centre migrationsTroubleshooting hardware, cabling and network connectivity issuesPerforming rack builds, equipment replacements and infrastructure upgradesCarrying out site surveys and testing completed installationsProducing technical documentation, rack layouts and installation recordsUpdating service tickets and working alongside project teams and clients to deliver successful installationsTechnologies you'll be working with:Windows Server & Active DirectoryMicrosoft AzureVMware / Hyper-VCisco, HPE, Aruba & Dell hardwareFirewalls, wireless infrastructure & networkingTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP & VLANsStructured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/Fibre)Server racks, patch panels & cable managementBackup technologies & ConnectWise (or similar)What's on offer:Salary up to £45,000Company van & fuel cardExposure to a variety of infrastructure and data centre projectsOngoing training and career developmentOpportunity to work with enterprise technologies and leading vendorsThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in data centres, server rooms or IT infrastructure who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to further develop their infrastructure and networking expertise.Data Centre Engineer | Kent | Up to £45k | Data Centre | Infrastructure | NetworkingOscar Associates (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.To understand more about what we do with your data please review our privacy policy in the privacy section of the Oscar website.TPBN1_UKTJ
