To continue in our achievements, we are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and driven individual to join our team and assist in the continual growth of the company.Job PurposeAssist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations.FORKLIFT LICENSE REQUIREDReporting LineReports to: Branch ManagerKey ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative are:Technical KnowledgeWork under supervision and direction of warehouse managerHelp to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasksFORKLIFT LICENSE REQUIREDScan and track incoming and outgoing ordersReceive and process new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documentsInspect receivables for defects, damages, or missing itemsProperly scan and inventory incoming goodsUnload, stack, move, and place products in designated areasMove and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as neededUse forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goodsPerform detailed manual inventory countsLabel warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrievalStack, shelve, and stage items for storage and shipment as necessaryFulfil and track outgoing ordersCollect, prepare, package, and label goods for shipmentDouble-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing ordersEnsure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working orderReport any equipment malfunctions or issues to upper managementFollow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Adhere to health and safety rules and regulations at all timesWear protective clothing and equipment as requiredOperate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocolWork with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasksFollow Picking TimetablesLoad and Prepare Van for deliveriesFORKLIFT LICENSE REQUIREDComplete Delivery Sheets and reports/ManifestsBehavioural ExpectationsAppreciates the impact that decisions and actions have on the business;Ability to ensure that objectives or tasks are delivered on time and to an agreed quality;Ready to start work at the agreed start time;Pro-active and responsive to requirements to clients and colleague; a team player;Fully understands internal and external customer expectations and requirements, and works to ensure these are exceeded and delight customers;Works co-operatively and productively with others, to achieve results.;Demonstrable knowledge and interest in the UP Building Products Brand and build excellent relation with vendor partners, where appropriate;Takes the initiative to work across boundaries to resolve challenges;Demonstrates commitment and loyalty to UP Building ProductsSelf-motivated individual with strong customer focus;Able to choose a method of communication that is appropriate and effective for a given situation, to incorporate the difference mediums of listening, verbal and written;Uses original and creative thinking to make improvements or support the initiation of new approaches;Works with honesty and integrity and maintains the reputation of UP Building ProductsPersonal AttributesExcellent team management and communication skillsAbility to positively influence othersExcellent organisational and time management skillsHigh level of accuracy and use of grammarCapacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressureExperience in the use of Microsoft Office packages and other software packagesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsApproachable and flexible attitude to work and willing to work additional hours at short noticeMotivated, pro-active and enthusiasticDemonstrate a consistent high standard of work and attention to detailStrong numerical skillsAble to deal with staff challenges in a positive mannerPunctual and presentableSmart appearance and articulateGood team playerWilling to learnEffective Communications with colleagues and Management teamCalm temperament under pressured conditionsWillingness to travel to other locationsCustomer Service focusedJob Type: Full Time 730am 430pm Working Days Monday-FridayWork Location: Paddock Wood Work authorisation: United Kingdom (required)TPBN1_UKTJ
