Butler Rose Procurement & Supply Chain are recruiting for a Buyer to join a growing international manufacturing business based in the Preston area.

Supplying customers across a range of commercial and industrial markets, this business has a strong reputation within their field and are going through a period of incredible growth, making it a very exciting time to join their team!

Joining their existing Purchasing & Supply Chain team, as a Buyer you will be responsible for planning, procurement and buying to ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer demand.

• Planning material requirements in line with production forecasts and customers orders, raising and managing purchase order to ensure materials are delivered on schedule.
\n
• Monitoring inventory levels and optimising stock holdings to balance availability and cost.
\n
• Developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and supply agreements; monitoring supplier performance and resolving delivery or quality issues.

• Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
\n
• Experience with MRP / ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
\n
• Their CIPS qualification (or working towards) although this is desirable, but not essential!
\n

Offering a competitive salary of £36,000 - £40,000 per annum you'll further benefit from 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), the option to carry over holidays, company pension scheme, career progression, training and annual merits. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
