People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering £15.25 per hour, overtime paid at £16.25 per hour after 42 hours, Monday to Friday work, immediate starts, paid induction, full training, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading company.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, C1 Driver, Category C1 Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Van Driver, or Truck Driver.

Shifts

 • Monday to Friday (occasional Saturday shifts during busy periods)
\n  • Start times between 05:00 – 06:00
\n  • Approximate shift length of 8–10 hours
\n  • Ongoing full-time work

Rates of Pay

 • £15.25 per hour
\n  • £16.25 per hour after 42 hours (Overtime)
\n  • Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties

As an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:

 • Driving Category C1 vehicles safely and efficiently
\n  • Completing between 12 and 25 deliveries per shift to commercial properties across the North West
\n  • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
\n  • Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time
\n  • Taking photographs to confirm successful deliveries
\n  • Communicating professionally with customers at delivery locations
\n  • Resolving customer queries and reporting any issues promptly to management
\n  • Adhering to all transport legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills

As an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

 • New passes welcome
\n  • A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
\n  • A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
\n  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences
\n  • No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes
\n  • No major endorsement codes
\n  • Strong customer service and communication skills
\n  • Good punctuality and timekeeping

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, C1 Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Van Driver, LGV Driver, or Truck Driver would be beneficial; however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.
