We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Our teams construct and maintain transmission lines and substations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of electricity.What will you be doing?As a Senior Planner, youll be part of ourplanning department who are responsibleforproducing robust and detailed programmes for all works associated with the design, procurement and construction phases of the projects.We're looking for someone with Primavera P6 experience to join the team on our Rotherham site which will include travel to our Nottingham or Birmingham offices when required.This is a Hybrid role. Develop, optimise and implement construction programmes, coordinating resources, outages, consents and wayleavesProduce detailed progress trackers for weekly reportingSupport the Head of Planning and planning team in building a strong planning cultureHelp integrate the companys cost management system for automated CPI/SPI reporting and robust processesChampion programme management procedures, policies and standardsParticipate in project handover meetings with Bid, Project Management and QS teamsWork closely with Project Managers and QS to maximise project performance and attend site meetings as neededProvide planning input during tender stagesRepresent the business at client meetings and meet KPI-driven deadlinesGather benchmarking data to support value-for-money assessmentsManage risk, issue and opportunity registers in line with change management processesKeep up to date with new planning techniques, technologies and initiativesContribute to delivering a coordinated business improvement agenda.Collaborate with commercial and financial members of the Planning & Systems teamMonitor programme compliance with contractual obligationsSupport achievement of business/project targets, manage risks, control costs and ensure safe, compliant deliveryContribute to shaping strategic objectivesWhat youll bring Competent in the following planning software: Primavera P6 & Microsoft ProjectExperience of NEC contracts, earned value, change and risk managementFull UK driving licence willingness to travel across sitesExperience of working in the Energy transmission construction sector (specifically substation builds) would be advantageous but we will consider major infrastructure experienceAbout usWe want to be an employer of choice and a great place to work, attracting diverse and talented people, who join us and make a difference.
