SOC Analyst Location: Cheltenham (On-site | 24/7 Shift Pattern)£40,000 - £45,000 + 25% Shift Bonus + Excellent BenefitsThe Opportunity A leading global cyber security consultancy is expanding its Security Operations Centre in Cheltenham and is looking to hire multiple SOC Analysts as part of a major growth programme.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a highly regulated cyber environment, working alongside experienced security professionals on mission-critical projects while gaining exposure to a range of enterprise security technologies.The Role As a SOC Analyst, you'll play a key role in monitoring, investigating and responding to security incidents within a busy enviornment.Responsibilities include:Monitoring and triaging security alertsInvestigating potential security incidentsEscalating threats where appropriateProducing security reports and documentationSupporting SIEM tuning and optimisationMaintaining awareness of emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilitiesWorking collaboratively within a fast-paced SOC environmentRequirements Around 1+ year's commercial experience within cyber security or a SOC environmentGood understanding of networking, operating systems and security fundamentalsExposure to incident response and security monitoringExperience with any SIEM platform (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Microsoft Defender, QRadar, Elastic etc.)Strong communication skillsWhat's on offer?
