365 People are currently recruiting for an experienced Steering Rack Assembler to join a well-established automotive manufacturing company based in Birmingham.*Experience Required *This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled assembler with experience in precision mechanical assembly and automotive components. You will be joining a highly experienced production team assembling high-quality steering and braking systems to exact engineering standards.The Role As a Steering Rack Assembler, your duties will include:Assembling complex mechanical components using engineering drawings and specificationsBuilding and fitting: Power steering unitsSteering racksBrake calipersPump assembliesCompleting both sub-assembly and full-build assembly workUsing hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring equipmentCarrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet required tolerances and standardsIdentifying and reporting faults or defectsMaintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environmentFollowing all health & safety and production proceduresRequirements Proven experience within a mechanical assembly or steering rack assembly rolePrevious experience assembling steering systems, brake calipers, pump assemblies, or similar automotive components is essentialAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityGood manual dexterity and mechanical aptitudeReliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamPay & Overtime £14.00 per hourOvertime paid at: Time and one-third during the weekTime and a half on SaturdaysWorking Hours Monday Thursday: 07:30am 4:30pmFriday: 8:00am 3:45pmBenefits Weekly pay via our in-house payroll teamUp to 28 days holiday per year (pro rata)Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospectsStable day shifts with an early finish on FridaysFriendly and supportive working environmentAccess to our employee perks scheme after your first payment, including discounts on: ElectronicsTravelClothingHome & lifestyleFitness & wellbeingAnd moreTo apply, please submit your up-to-date CV or contact 365 People on 0121 270 8777 for more information.TPBN1_UKTJ
