Alternative Accommodation ManagerLocation: BoltonSalary: £46,364 £50,831 (Grade 6)Contract Type: 12-monthsfixed termBenefits: Hybrid working, generous annual leave, birthday day off and much moreDo you have experience delivering housing services, managing accommodation services or supporting complex housing cases within social housing? If so, we'd love to hear from you.We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Alternative Accommodation Manager to lead services that help residents access safe and suitable housing solutions. You'll oversee alternative accommodation, decants, management moves and rightsizing services, working with residents, colleagues and external partners to deliver positive housing outcomes. Experience within housing management, temporary accommodation, supported housing, resident services, neighbourhood services or similar customer-focused housing services would be advantageous.What you'll be doingLeading the delivery of alternative accommodation, decant and rehousing services for residents requiring temporary or permanent housing solutions.Managing complex housing cases and supporting colleagues to deliver fair, consistent and customer-focused decisions.Building strong relationships with residents, contractors, local authorities and partner agencies to coordinate successful housing outcomes.Managing accommodation providers and service contracts, ensuring performance, quality and value for money are achieved.Monitoring service demand, customer outcomes, budgets and performance measures to identify opportunities for improvement.Leading service development projects to improve processes, customer experience and operational efficiency.Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring services are accessible and appropriate for residents with different needs and circumstances.What we're looking forExperience within housing management, accommodation management, resident services, supported housing, neighbourhood services or a similar customer-focused environment.Experience managing housing allocations, temporary accommodation, decants, management moves, tenancy-related services or complex customer cases.Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and organisations.Experience overseeing service performance, budgets, contracts or supplier relationships.The ability to analyse information, identify risks and make evidence-based decisions.A proactive and solution-focused approach with excellent communication skills.A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and positive outcomes for residents.A full valid driving licence.Why join us?This is an opportunity to make a real difference to customers at important moments in their lives.
