Job Title: Health & Safety Lead AuditorDepartment: ComplianceReporting to: QEHS ManagerLocation: Hybrid role, primarily home-based, with occasional travel for training, meetings, and supporting the onboarding of new sitesContract type: PermanentHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30am 5:00pm)Salary: £40,000 £45,000 per annumAbout the RoleOur client is a housing provider seeking an experienced Health & Safety Lead Auditor to provide independent assurance that the organisation's Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) is effective, compliant, and continually improving in line with ISO 45001.You will lead internal audits, support regulatory compliance, investigate health and safety incidents, and work closely with colleagues to promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and deliver internal audits of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS) in line with ISO 45001 and the organisation's audit programme.Assess compliance with health and safety legislation, policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.Produce and present clear audit reports, highlighting risks, non-conformities, and opportunities for improvement.Monitor corrective and preventative actions, ensuring audit findings are addressed effectively and within agreed timescales.Lead and support investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and preventative measures.Analyse health and safety performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement across the OHSMS.Support the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work.Build effective relationships with managers and stakeholders, promoting a positive health and safety culture.Support external audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance, liaising with external bodies where required.Provide leadership, guidance, coaching, and health and safety training to colleagues across the organisation.Key Skills & ExperienceProven experience leading internal health and safety audits and managing audit programmes.Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and UK occupational health and safety legislation.ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification.NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent health and safety qualification).Experience working within a regulated, operational, or multi-site environment.Excellent analytical, investigation, and report-writing skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.A proactive, organised, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to promote a positive health and safety culture.Benefits25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHealth membership with cashback on health services and retail/fitness discountsLife cover4% employer and 4% employee pension contributionLaptop, phone, and equipment provided as requiredEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP)Employee referral schemeAdditional InformationThe successful candidate will be required to undergo a satisfactory DBS check relevant to the requirements of the role.Please ensure you meet the essential experience requirements before applying.For more information about the role, please contact Kerrie Collett on 07778 403485 or submit your application today.TPBN1_UKTJ
