Full Time | Permanent | Office BasedAre you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional who enjoys keeping things organised, building strong supplier relationships and taking pride in getting the details right?We're working exclusively with a successful and growing Blackburn business to recruit a Purchase Ledger Administrator to join their friendly finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger function while supporting the wider finance team.The Role As Purchase Ledger Administrator, you'll be responsible for managing the purchase ledger from invoice processing through to supplier payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every stage. You'll also have the opportunity to support other areas of finance, including sales ledger and bank reconciliations during holiday cover, making this a varied and rewarding role.Key Responsibilities Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders and delivery notesProcessing high volumes of purchase invoices accuratelyCoding invoices to the correct nominal and depot accountsReconciling supplier statements and resolving queriesPreparing weekly and monthly supplier payment runsSetting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing recordsProcessing credit notes and resolving invoice disputesMaintaining electronic invoice records and supporting finance administrationBuilding strong working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersSupporting continuous improvements to finance processesProviding additional support with sales ledger and bank reconciliations when requiredAbout You You'll already have experience working within a busy purchase ledger or accounts payable environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced finance team.We're looking for someone who:Has previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experienceIs highly organised with excellent attention to detailCan manage workloads and meet deadlinesHas strong communication and relationship-building skillsIs proactive and enjoys solving problemsHas good IT skills, including Excel and finance systems (Sage experience would be advantageous)What's in it for you?
