Steelfixer (Plymouth) – Fulltime An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years. PAYE basis Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays) Must Have: * CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card * Level 2 NVQ Steelfixing or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Steelfixing * Safety Critical Medical desirable * Previous experience as a Steelfixer on major construction or infrastructure projects * Experience fixing reinforcement steel for reinforced concrete structures * Good understanding of reinforcement drawings and bar schedules * Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Reliable and proactive approach to work * Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance * Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years This role is site based - Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities: * Install, tie and secure reinforcement steel in accordance with engineering drawings * Position reinforcement cages, mesh and steel bars to the required specifications * Read and interpret reinforcement drawings and bar schedules * Work closely with formwork carpenters, concrete finishers and site engineers * Carry out quality checks to ensure reinforcement is installed correctly before concrete placement * Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area * Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures * Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works Some Benefits: Pension Training and upskilling provided Safe working environment Life Insurance Secure regular income Lodge/Digs can be available.
