Join Our Team: HGV 2 Driver\n
\n
Jet2 Days:\n
\nDrivers will do 1 block of 9:00 - 18:00\n
\nFollowed by 1 block of 11:00 - 20:00.\n
\n5 on 3 off.\n
Jet2 Nights:\n
\n1 block of 21:00 - 6:00 followed by 2 blocks of 23:00 - 8:00\n
\n5 on 3 off.\n
Long Haul:\n
\n5 on 3 off\n
\nStart time varies between 5:00, 6:00, 7:00\n
\nDrivers are advised few days in advance.\n
\nOvertime rate of 1.5, Free onsite parking, complimentary meals and refreshments.\n
\nWhat will life as a HGV Driver in the Gategroup Team look like for you.\n
\n* £17.00 per hour\n
\n* Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate\n
\n* 5 on 3 off pattern, Start Time between 9am and 11am and finishing between 6pm and 8pm\n
\n* Inhouse training and development\n
\n* Complimentary meals & beverages\n
\n* Free on-site parking\n
\n* Paid Holiday\n
\n* Regular shift patterns\n
\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\n
\n* Driving HGV 15 - 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment\n
\n* Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use\n
\n* Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft\n
\n* Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers\n
\n* Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle\n
\n* Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By- laws\n
\n* Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork.\n
\n* Plus any additional warehouse duties\n
\nRequirements of the HGV Driver:\n
\n* Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)\n
\n* Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card\n
\n* Driver CPC qualification essential\n
\n* Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage\n
\n* Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act\n
\nPrevious experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail.\n
\nAll applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.\n
