This is an excellent opportunity for a project professional looking to develop their experience while supporting the delivery of key corporate projects and transformation programmes across the council.Working closely with senior project managers and stakeholders, you will play a vital role in coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, managing project documentation, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.Key Responsibilities:\n

- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of corporate projects and programmes. \n
- Maintain project plans, action logs, risk registers, and performance reports. \n
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and communications across departments. \n
- Organise and support project meetings, workshops, and governance boards. \n
- Track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables. \n
- Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing papers for senior managers. \n
- Monitor project risks and issues, escalating concerns where appropriate. \n
- Contribute to continuous improvement and organisational transformation initiatives. \n

- Previous experience in a project support, project coordination, or assistant project management role. \n
- Strong organisational and administration skills with excellent attention to detail. \n
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. \n
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. \n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. \n
- Experience working within a local authority, public sector, or corporate environment is desirable. \n
- A recognised project management qualification or working towards one (e.g., PRINCE2, APM) would be advantageous. \n

- Experience of delivering complex projects and managing multiple priorities. \n
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices. \n
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. \n
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse teams. \n
