Our work is guided by our purpose of elevating customers, shaping lives and protecting the future.About the roleThe role of the Extrusion Operator is to manufacture high quality blown extruded film to the required customer standards ensuring dedicated machines run with minimal scrap and downtime whilst maintaining a safe working environment. During the training period (normally 2-3 weeks) you will work Mon-Fri 9am-5pm before moving on to shift and reporting into the Production Manager. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 2 days/2nights.Key responsibilities to include:Working safe in accordance with site procedures and safe systems of workReporting all hazards and act on them accordinglyHousekeeping on all extrusion linesMonitor of product quality and ensure all quality checks and testing is carried out in line with specificationsMonitor and manage line output rates, utilisation, scrap levels against plan/targets on each lineOperate extrusion machinery and monitor and manage recycling equipment on each unitEnsure accurate data is recorded and inputted correctlyEnsure a good handover of information to the incoming operatorExperience/Qualifications: Experience of working in a manufacturing environmentGood team working and communicationPositive and pro-active attitudeBe able to work unsupervised and use own initiativeBenefits:20 shifts of holiday per year Competitive rate of pay and graded pay progression Benefits such as eye care vouchers, medicash and more.
