Project Engineer – Energy from Waste – 3year FTCUp to £75,000 + car allowance + benefitsSouth Wales & Bristol area - (Travel Required)SCINERGY Recruitment are working with a leading Energy from Waste operator to recruit a Project Engineer to support engineering upgrades across multiple EFW facilities in the South Wales & Bristol area. This is a fixed term contract role for 3 years.This role focuses on delivering engineering changes to increase Maximum Continuous Rating (MCR), improving plant output, reliability, and overall performance. You will work closely with OEMs, contractors, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.The role will involve:Delivering engineering projects to increase plant MCR across multiple sitesAnalysing boiler and plant performance to define engineering requirementsDeveloping and reviewing technical solutions with OEMs and contractorsIntegrating projects into planned outages and shutdownsManaging contractors to deliver work safely, on time, and within budgetProducing and managing Management of Change (MoC) documentationSupporting HAZOP reviews and ensuring engineering complianceAttending site meetings, outage planning sessions, and factory acceptance tests (including occasional overseas travel)Working closely with site operations, engineering, and central teamsMaintaining high standards of health, safety, and environmental complianceTo be considered for this role, you should have:A recognised engineering qualification at HNC level or higher in mechanical engineering or similarExperience within power generation, process, or similar heavy industry - EFW, biomass, CHP, oil & gas, chemical)Strong knowledge of maintenance and engineering practicesUnderstanding of pressure parts / boiler legislationExperience delivering complex engineering or project workExperience managing contractors and working to tight outage schedulesStrong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skillsA good understanding of safe systems of work and permit proceduresFull UK driving licenceWhat's on offer:Competitive salary, dependent on experience up to £75,000Car allowancePerformance related bonusCompany pension and medical coverOpportunity to work across multiple EFW assetsOngoing training and developmentFor further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on 07441 955 901 orTPBN1_UKTJ
