Operations Administrator

We are currently recruiting for a Tranport Planner for a 3 month period (potentially longer) based in the Swindon area.About the Transport Planner role:Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm (40 hours paid). Flexible working may be required to cover holidaysSalary is £30K pro rataTemporary role - minimum 3 month periodBased in Swindon (SN3)Immediate startDuties & responsibilities for the Transport Planner role:Plan, optimise & communicate local and nationwide delivery routes for vehicles.Effectively plan loads to vehicles ensuring on-time deliveries.Ensure all routes are legally compliant in line with driver's hours legislation, working time directive and vehicle weight restrictionsEnsure all operational goals are met whilst maintaining focus on customer requirementsCommunicate efficiently and effectively with both team members and other departmentsSkills / Experience required for the Transport Planner role:Strong planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneouslyStrong attention to detailA good geographical knowledge is essentialExcellent communication skillsPrevious experience of working in a planning or similar role is requiredA good understanding of driver's hours would be beneficialGood IT knowledge to include Microsoft Excel, Word etcTo be considered for the Transport Planner role apply today!TPBN1_UKTJ
