Job Description:Our Client is seeking a motivated and adaptable Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of construction projects from design through to completion. The role involves working closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to a high standard of customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Managers with project delivery and manage small works projects independentlySupport and monitor Health & Safety practices and CDM Regulations on siteAttend regular site meetings with clients and other professionalsPrepare reports, programmes, progress updates, and profitability reportsPrice and agree instructions with clients or their agentsContribute to valuations and final accountsAssist with tender preparation and estimatesProcure, negotiate with, and monitor subcontractors and suppliersSupport procurement of new clientsProduce monthly reports including cost/value comparisons and turnover forecastsAttend financial and progress meetingsSupport site teams to optimise contract resourcesMaintain exceptional customer care standardsUse company systems and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ProjectRequirementsConstruction-related qualification such as BSc Construction Management, HNC, or HND (preferred but not essential)Experience as an Assistant Project Manager or within project management in the construction industryGood knowledge of construction processesExperience with commercial and design-and-build projects beneficialStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsAbility to read and understand drawingsProficient in Microsoft Office and project management toolsSelf-motivated with a proactive attitudeFull UK driving licence (minimum 6 months post-test experience)Willingness to undertake training and professional developmentPreferred CertificationsSMSTS or SSSTS (desired but not required)ScheduleMonday to Thursday: 07:45 17:15Friday: 07:45 16:4542 hours per weekTravel and occasional overnight stays may be requiredBenefitsCompetitive salaryCompany vehicle with fuel card or grey fleet allowanceCorporate clothingEmployee profit share scheme21 days holiday plus bank holidaysAdditional holiday entitlement after 2 years serviceEarly Friday finishesDepartmental bonuses and long service awardsHealth and wellbeing supportOngoing training and career progressionSocial events and charity initiativesSupportive and professional working environmentAdditional InformationEnhanced DBS check required (including Childrens and Adults Barred List)Additional vetting may be required in line with client requirementsEqual opportunities employerInvestors in People accreditedTPBN1_UKTJ
