You will work closely with controls, manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical, safe and suitable for customer requirements.Produce 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs and design documentationSupport concept development for automation machinery and sales projectsEnsure designs consider safety, manufacturability, cost and CE / UKCA requirementsContribute to design reviews and continuous improvementLiaise with controls, manufacturing and assembly teamsVisit customer sites when required to support requirements gathering or validationRequirements for Mechanical Design EngineerThe ideal candidate will have mechanical design experience within automation, machinery or manufacturing equipment. You should be confident using 3D CAD software and producing accurate engineering drawings.2+ years mechanical design experience within automation, machinery or manufacturingProficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD softwareAbility to produce accurate 2D engineering drawings and documentationUnderstanding of tolerances, materials and manufacturing processesDegree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar would be beneficialExperience with drives, pneumatics, robotics, PDM systems or BOM management would be advantageousTPBN1_UKTJ
