You will join a supportive site and Group leadership team that values collaboration, practical solutions and continuous improvement.Based at a busy Energy from Waste facility in Tyseley, you will work directly with the Operations Director, Plant Management Team and Group Head of Health and Safety.This is not a desk-based compliance role. You will be visible across the plant, building relationships with employees, managers and contractors while taking genuine ownership of day-to-day safety performance.The role You will take responsibility for:Site health and safety advice and complianceAudits, inspections and risk assessmentsIncident and near-miss investigationsRoot-cause analysis and corrective actionsContractor safety, RAMS and permit complianceBehavioural safety and employee engagementISO 45001 developmentHealth and safety reportingPlanned shutdown and outage safetyCDM arrangements and contractor surveillanceWhat we are looking for You should have:NEBOSH General Certificate or higherExperience within a live industrial or engineering environmentA background in energy from waste, power generation, biomass, utilities, process manufacturing, waste, recycling or heavy industryIncident-investigation and root-cause-analysis experienceExperience managing contractor safetyKnowledge of ISO 45001The confidence to influence and challenge constructivelyWhy apply?
