HGV Class 2 Driver – Day Shift – SwindonPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our busy and well-established client based in Swindon .This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver, or Truck Driver .Shifts• Monday to Friday  • Start times between 04:30 – 06:00  • Working until job finishRates of Pay• £16.00 per hour  • Weekly pay – PAYEBenefitsAs an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will receive:• Excellent hourly rates  • Ongoing work with the potential to become permanent following a qualifying period  • Weekly pay  • On-site canteen  • Immediate starts available  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentDay-to-Day DutiesAs an HGV Class 2 Driver, your duties will include:• Carrying out deliveries to businesses and building sites  • Operating curtain-side Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently  • Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections  • Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with safety regulations  • Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations  • Reporting vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly  • Assisting with loading and unloading when required  • Heavy lifting may be involved  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations  • Completing all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation accuratelyEssential SkillsTo be successful as an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will need:• A minimum of 12 months' Category C driving experience  • A valid UK Category C Driving Licence  • A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card  • No more than six penalty points for minor offences  • No major endorsement codes  • Excellent punctuality and timekeeping  • A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and drivers' hours regulations  • Good communication and customer service skillsDesirable Experience• Previous commercial driving experience would be beneficial  • Previous multi-drop delivery experience would be advantageous  • Experience delivering to businesses and construction sites would be desirableTraining Provided• Driver assessment required prior to starting  • Full paid induction provided on your first day  • Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignmentApplyIf you are interested in this opportunity as an HGV Class 2 Driver , please apply today and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch.People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process.TPBN1_UKTJ
