Baby Room Leader / Room-Based Deputy Manager Location: South LondonSalary: Up to £18.50 per hour (Room-Based Deputy Manager)Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week over 5 daysAn excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Baby Room Leader or Room-Based Deputy Manager to join a thriving, well-established nursery in South London.This role would suit a passionate Early Years professional who enjoys working with babies, leading by example, and creating a nurturing environment where children can flourish during the most important stage of their development.The Role You'll be responsible for leading the Baby Room team, ensuring exceptional standards of care and education are delivered every day while supporting and mentoring colleagues.For candidates with additional leadership experience, there is also an opportunity to join as a Room-Based Deputy Manager , combining hands-on practice within the Baby Room with wider leadership responsibilities across the nursery.Key Responsibilities Lead the daily operation of the Baby RoomDeliver outstanding care and learning experiences for children aged 02 yearsSupport, mentor and inspire fellow practitionersBuild positive relationships with parents and carersEnsure full compliance with EYFS, safeguarding and nursery policiesMaintain accurate observations, assessments and planningPromote a safe, stimulating and nurturing environmentRequirements Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)Previous experience working within a Baby RoomExperience as a Room Leader or Senior Practitioner preferredDeputy Manager experience welcomed for applicants seeking the higher-level roleStrong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirementsExcellent communication and leadership skillsA genuine passion for delivering exceptional childcareWhat's on Offer?
